Self cleaning rotary valve

Now a standard product

Something a little different- a rotary valve with a scraper unit for sticky materials. The valve is based on our standard MV 500 rotary valve but the rotor is a custom made unit with specially scalloped pockets. The geometry is carefully designed to that a simple scraper, powered by synchronised gears on the end opposite the motor.

For every 1/6 rotation, the scraper pulls any stuck material out of the bottom of the pocket to fall out of the valve and onwards into the process.

This particular unit has been designed for oily sunflower husks but it can be used for any product where a sticky residue builds up in the rotor.
