Hydraulic Slide Valve

We’ve recently completed some custom made ATEX zone 22 hydraulic FSV slide valves.

They’re designed to be installed in pairs, nose to nose to form one large 2.5 x 0.5m slide valve. Each valve has its own 230 bar, 100mm bore hydraulic cylinder to provide a huge thrust so the sharpened stainless steel blade can push through a solid column of sugar. Sealed, low friction flanged rollers help the slide plate glide forwards. A double, self-adjusting chest seal with air purge helps prevent sugar from being drawn back into the chest area during operation.

Power for these is from a central 11kW hydraulic power pack with integral reservoir and controls. The pack can operate all valves simultaneously if needed
